AF nearly two weeks late. Negative tests. Now this. Petrified after miscarriage

Hi all.

My AF will be two weeks late tomorrow. I have taken four tests since last week. Three of which were clearly negative. I am meant to have a smear test this morning so decided to use my last test just to be sure.

There is a faint line.

Surely this can't be right? Surely it should be a darker line by now? I have no symptoms whatsoever!

I had a miscarriage at ten weeks last summer. I have been desperate for a second child. But this can't be right can it? My last pregnancies the line was super dark by this point (even with the miscarriage). I'm petrified.

Late ovulation? Maybe?

The last time I had sex was 16 days ago! It doesn't even make sense

I really can't deal with false hope and then the disappointment of loosing my baby all over again. I am so frightened.

That's not that faint a line. And bear in mind that sperm can live for up to five days... my line at 10 dpo (equivalent as it's an ivf pregnancy) was A LOT fainter.

Who knows what the future will hold? But for now, congrats! You are pregnant.

I tested at 8 days after my period was due and got a negative. I then tested at 11 days after my period was due and got a positive.

That's positive. Don't drive yourself mental.

I don't doubt that it's positive, I just doubt the timings and that it doesn't feel right.

Anyway, GP obviously didn't do a smear and only had to take one look at me sobbing to book me in for blood tests. I'm off there now and another one on Monday morning. Should know more next week.

Also sorry my AF is not two weeks late. It's a week late. Two weeks (16 days) since I think I ovulated/had sex.

That's definitely positive.. congratulations..
I still had a smear a couple days after a BFP.. I would just let the nurse know..

If you had sex 16 days ago, and ovulated a couple of days later, that would make it at the earliest 8 days since implantation, in which case, that line looks absolutely fine. Of course, it is much more likely to be around 4-6 days post implantation, which makes the line even better. Easier said than done, but try not to stress. Fingers crossed for you!
