I had lletz treatment shortly before I got pregnant with DC1. I had regular cervical scans which showed a very short cervix so they talked about stitch etc and I was put on progesterone but in the end I didn't need it and carried to 39 weeks.

I'm now pregnant with DC1 and have also had regular cervical scans but cervix is totally normal this time round - fingers crossed.

There's plenty they can do now to help with short cervix so it's really good that doctors know about it and will be able to keep a close eye on it. Good luck!

I had LLETZ. When I was pregnant the hospital did a cervical length scan at 16 weeks using an internal probe. The result was that the procedure hadn’t cut much off my cervix and it still exceeded the min length for a safe pregnancy. If my cervix had been too short they’d have stitched it shut and told me to rest up. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll miscarry, they will take steps to prevent that.

It took me just under a year, but that probably had more to do with my age as I was approaching 40.

I did need a caesarean though. My cervix failed to dilate. Part of the reason for that was scar tissue from the LLETZ.

It took me around 6 months each time to get pregnant and I had a vaginal delivery with DC1 - C section was never mentioned.

Thank you for that and hoping may take a little less but we shall see I have the loop 4 years ago. I will see what the doctor says just a little advice is good thank you lovlies xx
