Positive line disappeared

I'm hoping someone can help me, I came off the pill in December I think I ovulated 2 weeks ago and I've been taking tests more often than I should! I took one tonight and it showed a faint positive but then disappeared after a minute. The logical part of me says it's a dud test but a small part of me says it's a BFP, anyone else had this happen?

Thank you! I hope you're right, I'm going to do a digital test Thursday morning if AF hasn't appeared, I've been having symptoms but they could mean either to be honest

If the line disappeared, it was just the dye washing through the test indentation, I’m afraid - I have had this happen to me.

The line needs to show up within time frame and stay put - anything else is dye/indent/evap.

It doesn’t mean you are not pregnant - it just means the test hasn’t picked anything up yet. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply, I think deep down I know it wasn't really positive I was just clinging onto that pink line! Maybe next month it'll be different!

It went completely, I think it was probably just the dye moving across the strip, I just got so excited I took a photo while it was there. I've never had that happen before but at least I'll know for next time!

Well AF made an appearance this morning so that ruined the suspense! At least I can use the money I would've spent on tests to buy a bottle of wine instead
