So here it is. My BFP. I’m in complete shock. Over the moon but also scared and nervous! A whole mix of emotions right now.
So this is my first pregnancy. I’m from the UK and don’t know how it works with GP/midwife etc. Do I contact my GP straight away? I never thought this would happen for me so happy!! Baby dust to all x

You usually contact your doctor / midwife when you are around 8 weeks gone (you count from the first day of your last period, so at conception you are classed as 2 weeks pregnant already). So if you are 2 weeks since conception you would be 4 weeks pregnant.

Check online, in my area it is self referral to the midwife. They don’t need you to see a doctor first. You usually go for booking in at midwife at 8 weeks or so so you should contact before that normally.
