Pain on the left side after miscarriage

Hi ladies.

Last Tuesday I found out at my 12 week scan that we have suffered a missed miscarriage and our baby stopped developing at 6 weeks 3 days. I started bleeding the same day in the afternoon..more as a heavier period bleeding, followed by a very heavy bleeding on Friday when I was passing a lot of tissue. We actually ended up going to A&E as I was starting to feel drowsy and cold and they were worried over the phone I was loosing too much. Everything ended up ok, the bleeding slowed down a bit. So after a check up they let me go home. I've been bleeding much less since then but I keep getting cramps here and there and there is this really sharp pain that sometimes comes together with other pains but sometimes on its own quite randomly. It's on the left side, lower abdomen, I guess where my ovary could be. It's sharp and painful to the point that I definitely have to take a painkiller and can't walk comfortably. Its been coming for the last few days..always the same spot. I was wondering if I should connect this just to things settling down or it could indicate anything? I am only going for a scan on Thursday or Friday as they recommended waiting a bit so there is more of a chance everything would be cleared up by that point and wouldn't have to come again. I think when we conceived I actually ovulated from the left ovary as well if that means anything. Does anyone have an experience with this or do you think it could be something to worry about?

Thank you.
