Day 38 & no AF but scared to test

Second month TTC after being on the pill for 12 years. Last cycle was 35 days long (first "real" cycle after pill) and Flo predicted AF to arrive two days ago. Nothing so far and no signs but afraid to test as was gutted last month when it wasn't positive. Has anyone been in a similar position, is it normal for cycle to be this long? I've been feeling really nauseated for the past week (like acidic) but no other symptoms

To be honest, it may just be your cycle being all over the place given you've not long come off the pill after being on it for a long time.

Or you could be pregnant. The only way you will know is if you take a test. Have you any internet cheapies you can use before committing to the more expensive ones (it can end up an expensive habit!)

Yeah that's my worry. We put it off for a while for various reasons and now it's like I can't stand the thought that it could take ages. I don't have any cheap tests and only have one left in the house. I keep telling myself to hold off "one more day" but today Flo has basically given up on me, no future predictions until I log AF so it made me think maybe it's time to take a test. But the fear is real and hubby is so laid back about it all that he doesn't get why I'm upset (I'm crying a lot, hormones? Or am I just sleep deprived. Who knows)

It could just be your cycle sorting itself out/stress/whatever. Hoping this is your BFP though.

I gave in. BFN. I guess my body is just out of whack :( now I just want AF to hurry up so I get another chance, this waiting is killing me!

Oh I'm so sorry lovely. I guess at least you know now, even though it's utter shit. Drink the wine and do what you need to to feel better. X

Thanks. Hopefully next time.

Oh I'm sorry. Been there, got the T-shirt (many of them). Fingers crossed AF shows up soon and you can try again quickly.
