I'm not late yet, and this time I'm refusing to test until I'm late. But what tests would you recommend, either for this cycle or another.

Depends how long you can hold out to test - if you can make it to 'late' then any old test, even the 3 for a pound dip strips from Poundland should be just fine.
I know a lot of people do this to save money, then get a digital for confirmation if they get a line on a cheapie.

First response seem to pick up the hormone pretty soon, and the lines are easy to read!

I got some cheap ones from Amazon and never found a problem with them but did buy a First Response to back them up when I got a positive test. I wouldn't use first response all the time though as the first test I did because of cost.

They all work. In my experience I would recommend waiting until at 2 weeks overdue. It's a fact that a good many pregnancies don't make it past a few days.

First Response are my trusted ones but I generally only use them if I can see a faint line on an Internet cheapie (have a stash of one step from amazon!) I only use a clear blue digi after a first response positive due to the cost

Thanks ladies. I'm getting all crampy and periods due next week I think so don't think I'll be needing them this month anyway. But I'll try hold out when the time comes.
