Hi,

I am 26 and we have only been TTC for 4 months, at first I didnt have an app didnt worry about anything and just had unprotected sex whenever about wice a week sorry TMI and hoped for the best, by the 3rd month i thought this isnt just going to happen so i dowloaded app got the tests and temp, and now im concerned im not ovulating! I as I had my period from the 9th- 12th jan (im irregular too which doesnt help, and some weeks its lasts 10 days some it lasts 3) but for the last 6 months ive had a period every month. I had a positive LH from the 19th jan till my ovulation day but since my predicted ovulation but after my Ovulation day im 2 DPO and had no temp rise, come to think about it my temp didnt rise? can anyone help? I am overweight and I am slowly losing weight for myself but also to have a healthy hopeful pregnancy but im worried I am just not working. But then i think why did i have a positive LH what does it mean? HELPP

A positive lh test doesn't mean you're going to ov. You have to get the surge to ov, but not every surge leads to ov. Go by the bbt instead (some people just don't work with lh tests despite ovulating normally).

The length of your actual period is irrelevant to your fertility.

Losing even a small amount of weight can have a dramatic impact on fertility (in a positive way).

Okay Thank you so much. I did try and find this out online but it can be a bit of a wormhole. I have been so sparse with my BBT thinking it didnt really matter prior to this month so, hopfully in the next couple months of weight loss and accurate readings I can work out if I am ovulating.
