Missed miscarriage? Questions

Hello everyone. Sadly, we found out at our 12 week scan, that our baby hasn't been developing for the last few weeks:( I should be actually 11 weeks pregnant today and it seams like our baby stopped developing at about 6,5 weeks, which means this is almost 5 weeks ago. The doctors asked me to come for another scan next week, but I just wonder, how long it took for anyone that experienced this...if things started eventually naturally or how long you can actually wait? I feel like its been a while already..and my body hasn't noticed anything yet.:( I haven't had any cramps or bleeding. Only today some spotting which is most probably only due to the internal examination? I just don't know what to expect. Sorry, if this sounds all very blunt. I just feel very emotionally drained and out of any energy or efforts. I will appreciate any advice.

I’m not sure this will be much help but I found out at 8 weeks that the baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks. I had an EVAC at 11 weeks as I was advised it could take weeks to complete naturally and I hated not knowing when I would start miscarrying or how long it would take. The EVAC was a great relief when it eventually happened.

I had a mmc in July last year. I found out at my 12 week scan that heartbeat had stopped at 8 weeks. My body hadn’t given me any signs either and wasn’t showing any signs of going to so I decided rather than a dragged out version, to have a D&C a week later. It was quick, painless and treated very well by the NHS. The emotional damage is the worst. I’m now 5 cycles on and just found that I’m expecting again. To say I’m scared is an understatement! Good luck and I hope all goes well. Look after yourself and remember you have every hope of going on to having a healthy baby in the future xxxx

@Chunkymonkey123 @Babycakes1989 Thank you ladies. We have a beautiful 6 yo son already so he lifts me up and makes me feel sure, we will have a healthy baby one day again. But it's still hard to accept there was another baby that shortly joined us but wasn't meant to be. :( I feel devastated and heartbroken to be living in this idea of being pregnant the whole time while it hasn't even been happening for quite long. I wish I knew earlier. :( not that it would ease my pain but at least I wouldn't be so positive and excited for that long.
May I ask, how long do you need to wait to start trying after a mc? And do they automatically offer you an earlier scan once you conceive again? Is the treatment any different?

We were told that you can try straight away but it’s best to have a period first so they can date you properly. We were offered a scan at the same point that the baby had stopped developing so I had a early scan at 7 weeks when I got pregnant again. I had my EVAC at the end of October, waited a month and then was pregnant the second cycle we tried.
I understand how you feel, I really felt like my body had let me down by not recognising that something wasn’t right.

I've had 2 MMC so I understand how you feel. For me I wasn't asked to come back for another scan but I understand from other posters that it's quite common to be asked back the following week as you have been. We were offered either the option of tablets to make my body force the miscarriage on at home or to come in the next morning and be admitted for the ERPC procedure. I chose the ERPC basically for my own mental health as I needed to move forward and grieve. I think they say to wait a cycle before trying again but really that's just for dating purposes I think x
