Really long fertile week

I am a little confused, only on cycle 2/3 of actually TTC and getting some data that doesn't make sense.

I am using Fertility Friend to track my cycles and currently on CD31. According to FF my 'high' days should have been CD21 -CD23 with peak being around CD24.

I have been testing using CB OPKs and according to them I was low on CD 21 and 22 with high being registered CD23-31 but I still haven't reached peak?

This seems like a really long fertile week in comparison to what FF is saying which is that I should currently be 7DPO, with AF due on 27th?

Can anyone help me make sense of this?!

What data are you inputting into fertility friend? Is it working off bbt or just dates? And did you put the cb opk results into fertility friend?

I love fertility friend and its not been wrong with my ovulation yet so my guess would be that you missed the peak with your ovulation sticks. Everyone might be able to help more if you share a picture of your chart.

Thanks, I will try and post pics later. I have been putting the CB PPL dates into FF every time, but it just seems that the F2F is out of sync to what the OPKs are telling me. I only missed one day of testing - had two days of high then missed one day then have had 6 further days of OPKs saying high. Do you think I missed my peak on the one day I didn't test?

Fertility Friend is good but it's only as good as the information you put into it. For it to be accurate you need to track CM at a minimum, but it looks like you're not doing that this month? It's possible the OPKs are right so best to keep DTD to be on the safe side.

Without more info, the only way to make sense of it is to wait until AF appears and then you will be able to know with hindsight!

Just spotted this on another forum, should probably have thought to check the CB website myself! Sounds similar to what I am experiencing, so going to do one more test tomorrow and then admit defeat on getting a peak this month

Yeah it looks like FF will just be going on dates so if your cycle is regular it might well be correct.

Do you normally have long or irregular cycles? If you don't then I think, yeah, you probably missed the CB peak and there might not be much point continuing with it. You could try temping, or tracking cervical mucus as a PP mentioned. Or maybe you'll get lucky this cycle and won't need to do any of that!

Similar thing happening to me! I was supposed to OV on 14th Jan but according to CB OV tests I wasn't, tested every other day and got a flashing smiley on the 18th and everyday since but no solid smiley yet. Not sure what to believe really as mod seems very late in cycle to OV.
Thanks for posting that info from CB that's helpful - although not great it it means no ovulation 🙄
Will keep testing for another 3 days I think.

Are you going to assume you are in the TWW now? When do you think you will test? I'm terrible for testing early but going to try and wait full two weeks from date I get solid smiley if it ever comes!

Update - did CB ov test today and it got solid smiley.....finally! So seems I just ovulated a week late! TWW starts tomorrow! Xx

So just tested again, and got another flashing smiley so going to call it for this month and assume I am already well into my TWW.

Hard to tell what my cycle is at the moment, @kinsters. Only came off the pill in July after 13 years on it, and only been entering into FF since November. Currently saying 36 days on average with an 83% accuracy but I am guessing this month will have thrown it for a loop!

Yeah @poppywood hoping it was that my LH surge was too low to detect this month rather than not ovulating as have have had a peak reading before. I am going to wait to test until the end of the week and see what happens.

Yes I expect that is what has happened @dotmckee I think there is also some luck to testing at exactly the right time to pick up the surge.
When do you think you will test? Or are you usually strong enough to wait until period (or missed period)
Are you TTC your first? Will this (hopefully) be your first pregnancy?

We are TTC number 2. Our DD is 18 months, I got pregnant so quickly last time I didn't do any Tracking or OV tests - sadly not the case this time and I feel the obsession building! X

Can I ask a stupid question - how many times do you have sex on the day you are ovulating? We had sex last night, got solid smiley face this morning - no sex this morning though as...well we both work and have an 18 month old to get ready and get out the door by 7am! Where the time???
We will do it again tonight and maybe tomorrow night - honestly no time or energy for any more! 😴😴😂

@poppwood Clearly not strong enough not to test, I still tried an OPK this morning even though I said I wouldn't and surprise surprise, another flashing smiley. Why do I go this to myself?! Will give it to the end of the week when AF is due and see if I can resist trying a HPT.

Yep, trying to conceive #1 and finding it tough going not having any control so know what you mean about the obsession rising!

About the only thing we can control is the amount of sex, and that is pretty hard going when we both work fulltime in stressful jobs. I don't know how you do it with an 18mth old as well! We have resorted to waking each other up in the middle of the night a couple of times just to fit it in!
