Morning all
So - been TTC 18months, referred to fertility clinic due to sperm motility issues. Unlikely to conceive naturally.

AF was 2 days late this month, but with a week of spotting beforehand - lots of ‘symptoms’, huge boobs, feeling sicky and shaky, massive temp rise, but bfn 14dpo, then started bleeding 17dpo. Very light at first, but steadily became normal. On day 3 of bleeding now.

Having a scan to check my Fallopian tubes on Tuesday and was told to confirm I wasn’t pregnant before booking - test yesterday had a v faint line. Assumed it was an evap so did another this morning and it’s slightly darker.

Whatever has happened there’s really not a chance I could still be pregnant as I’m bleeding like a normal period, bright red with pain and clots.

Any ideas what’s gone on this month?! Is this a very early loss? I’m planning on calling the hospital Monday anyway and seeing whether they still want to do the scan but not sure if this is something I should worry about now!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi, this happened to me on my first cycle. Unfortunately I miscarried. I hope it’s a different result for you.

Just for info, I spotted on and off for 2-3 days (NEVER spot) took a test and was BFN. Period then came and went. But on about CD10 of the next cycle I started bleeding a tiny bit after sex which was very odd for me, out of a pure hunch I took a test and it was BFP! Very strong lines and my CB digi said 2-3 weeks.

Had blood tests at the hospital over the next 4 days and they confirmed my HCG was declining hence miscarriage.

To this day, I still don’t know how or why my HCG continued to rise so far after my period but it definitely sounded like a chemical pregnancy. X

Positive tests mean there is hcg in your system. Some women do have implantation bleeding that is period-like in consistency. Whatever happens, I'd postpone the hsg.

Any pain? It may or may not resolve as a chemical pregnancy. I'd test Monday morning to see if you still have hcg in your system then. Perhaps you could call your gp to refer to epu (or self refer if they allow you to which is applicable in some areas). They could do bloods 48 hours apart to see if your hcg is rising as it should or if it's dropping.

Good luck - it's a tough wait...

Thanks guys - really appreciate all the support! If nothing else, we can actually bloody conceive which is incredible!

Going to see it out over the weekend then give the doctor a ring Monday...🤞

@physicskate yep, lots of pain when bleeding started, felt sick, faint, all the usual!

So bleeding’s stopped this morning and still have a positive test. Feel rough. Not holding out any hope at all but if this can all resolve itself quickly then I’ll be okay with that.

If anyone’s still following, bfn today.

I am sorry that it turned bfn. :( TTC can be so tough. Hopefully, you are able to rest and recover. It must have been a chemical, which means recovery should be fast.

Thank you. Started cramping and bleeding again so god knows what’s going on! At least we know we can conceive, which (even though it doesn’t feel it right now) is amazing!

Thanks @strugglingonagain

Had the HsG today as they said it’s fine if I’m not pregnant- revealed a blocked tube. It’s been a shit week.
