Coil out 2 weeks ago, now TTC

Hiya,

Had coil out 2 weeks ago, no AF since then. Thought we may as well start trying.

What are the chances of falling pregnant?

It took three cycles for my period to come back properly after having the coil out (before that it was super light, like two days of light spotting/bleeding). I conceived on the 4th cycle. Some people do fall pregnant straight away though.

Hi, I also had my coil out 2 weeks ago. Had a week of 'bleeding' that started a few days after (it was more brown and sticky than red, and not a lot of it - sorry tmi!)

We've started trying but no idea where I am in cycle really as I'm not sure my bleeding was AF.

Baby dust to you!

Nfis same here. Very light spotting for 3 data following the removal. Then nothing. Some days of symptoms which made me feel like a period was coming but nothing has happened so far. My age is against me (38) so we’re reluctant to wait for much longer!

Good luck to you too! I’ve heard loads of stories of people getting pregnant straight away and old wives tales of being ‘super fertile’ in the weeks immediately following coil removal.

My periods went back to normal same month I had the coil out and I got pregnant 9 months after it was taken out.

Fingers crossed it's all back to normal quickly for everyone... I don't like the feeling of the unknown at the moment so I'm almost hoping for AF to come so I actually have an idea!

Yes me too! Would just like to know where I stand. We caught in the first month of trying with our 1st but that was 5 years ago and my BMI was normal back then. I’m now much older and technically obese (which is depressing) so working on that.

Wow - it would be amazing to get a BFP in the first month but I'm not holding my breath! Hopefully it doesn't take too long for you this time...

Nfis · 05/02/2019 18:59

@cavycavy how are things going? I've still had no AF since my 'bleed' straight after removal but all tests bfn - now 31 days since start of bleed and 35 days since removal...
