No AF but still getting BFNs

Hello all,

AFs due date has been and gone and I'm 2 days late. I know it's still very early days but tested on AF due date, yesterday and this morning. All very clear BFNs. I know I shouldn't think it's over until it's over but I'm confused as to why I'm late but not getting a positive 🙁

@Gothqueen u may have ovulated late which would impact the date AF shows

It's driving me mad because I have a fair few symptoms and no second line to show for it

I’m 8 days late and getting BFN.
Talked the doctor into giving me a blood one today.

@em39ma it must be driving you mad! Did they do a blood one for you? I'm due at hospital next week as I bleed sometimes after dtd. Last thing I want is them poking around up there if there's chance 😳. Have you got symptoms too?

I wouldn’t want anyone poking up there either.
I ask for a HCG so should get a number back hopefully over 100

@em39ma I may leave it another day or two, buy a decent test and see what happens then. If I'm getting same result, I'll be ringing gp first thing Monday for blood test. When are you likely to hear about yours?

It will be there tomorrow, but my surgery is shite, so probably not until Monday

How long since you came of any contraception? I came off two years ago and only getting AF forced by tablets every 4 months -
I usually do preg test day AF would be due then 2 weeks later-

I'm 10days late and still negative 😭 called my doctors yesterday and they told me to wait till tomorrow and receptionist even said that it's unlikely that they will take a blood test.. So frustrating, but theres still hope as af hasn't started. Do you have any symptoms?

I was a week late with at least 6 BFNs before I got the much wanted BFP. He's currently tantrumming about going to bed 🙄

This might be helpful to look at. Seems like it's not uncommon at all to go late and still have a negative but be pregnant. Fingers crossed for you ladies x

Hi everyone. So glad I'm not in the same boat. I'm between 5-1 days (long irregular cycles) late and still bfn. I have a good few symptoms but trying not to get my hopes up. Help

The wait is so frustrating isn't it? I just knew I was pregnant but kept getting BFNs. Hope you get the results you hope for.

@pinkroseuk I had the mirena out in august and had a chemical in November. 1st cycle of ttc again.

@girlygirl26 I have had cramps and bad skin but also felt sick and tired all the time so been hopeful it's pregnancy symptoms

@mygastisflabbered I hope I have the same outcome as you-although without the tantruming yes, everything crossed.

Just been to toilet and there's some pink on wiping...hoping and praying it's not AF...

Oh no @Gothqueen sorry to hear that AF came. That link is interesting will try and evening test Monday if AF has not come by then.

Hi all,

Thought I was out but now I'm being confused. So last night, bit of pink on wiping. Overnight = nothing. Toilet first thing and was red on wiping. So, put a pad on expecting full AF. Had a few spots but now, nothing! Nothing on pad and nothing on wiping! Maybe I'm holding onto hope I'm still in but I'm completely utterly confused!

@em39ma have you heard anything?

Waiting now for a doctor to call me back, as at 2pm they told me they hadn’t been looked at, so call back at 4pm. After 25 minutes waiting for them to answer the phone they still hadn’t checked it.
Got a bit stroppy and upset with them, so now waiting for a doctor to call.

I was 7 days late before I got my bfp, and when I went for my first scan I was a week behind what the midwife thought based on LMP. I must have ovulated later than usual. Fingers crossed for you!

gothqueen could be implantation bleed!

Finally spoke to the doctor at 6.55
Bloods negative, know sign of hcg.
So don’t know where go from here, I assume I just wait for AF to turn up.
