Late period Negative test

Hello all first time poster here. I'm 25 years old and trying to conceive. I took my last pill on the 21st September. I had a small bleed on 16th, 17th and 18th October. I then had a normal period on 27th,28th,29th,30th and 1st Nov/Dec. On the 7th and 8th of Jan I had some light spotting, more like brown discharge. Currently my Flo app says I'm 17 days late. I've done multiple tests including a clear blue and all have been negative. (One strip test at 7 days late appeared with a very very faint line but I wasn't sure if it was an evap line and hasn't been repeated since) Any advice? Anyone been in the same situation and eventually get a positive result? Thanks in advance.

Late ovulation. It's common, particularly if you've recently been on hormonal bc (in the last year or so). Late ov will cause you to be late by the same number of days (or you will get a bfp long after af was 'due'). This is why lots of women who ttc track ovulation.

Or that small bleed was a sign that perhaps you had an anovulatory cycle and that was your bleed (anovulatory cycles are also common).

Thank you physicskate, maybe I'll get some ovulation test if AF does come around. I hadn't really thought about anovultory cycles so that's a good thing to keep in mind thank you. I have a doctor's appointment on the 30th so I'll also see what's happened by then.

I’m now 7 days late and getting negative test too.
I feel pregnant like I did last time ( miscarried in October), I’m the same as you it’s just confusing. I’m speaking to the doctor tomorrow, as he has some test results for me, so will ask him about having a blood hcg test done.
I would maybe give yours a call if still nothing in a week

Mine got more confusing this morning.
On a CB digital I got not pregnant 2-3weeks??
Phoned CB and the apologised and the test must be faulty, sending me out a new pack.
And lady on the phone then said as I was 7 days late my hcg might be to high to work on a home test.

@em39ma I didn't realise that was a possibility to have HCG levels too high.
I'm 18 days late so I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant because I'm not sure I've had any actual symptoms. (I may be imagining some). I've been crying on and off all day and it's a bit much now. Gotta wait for a while for my appointment but the waiting is killing me. I've never wanted something so much.

This is month 22 of us trying for baby no2, it's not working, I'm not really one for making it consume me etc. This month I'm 2 days late, very odd pains/stabbings and cramping etc but bfn. I really thought it was going to be positive this month. Gutted!

Jumping in here too. 5 days late and BFNs. Trying to conceive my first after a mmc in April. I'm 35 so feeling the march of time a bit!

The symptom spotting is the worse! Only had minor stomach cramps/stitches this month could be pregnancy symptoms but equally just usual hormonal cramping feels weird wanting to get sore boobs etc! Good luck everyone x

I wonder how long people can have negative tests for before finding out they're pregnant like 6 weeks or something haha. Good luck all I know I'm stuck on hormonal thinking and hoping for now, but wish everyone gets a bfp sooner rather than later

It's all about how many days past ovulation. Hence (I reiterate) why many women track it. Most people start af about two weeks after ovulation, whenever that happens. If it happens later than usual, af is later than usual.

Yes I think I am about 2 weeks 3 days past ovulation so would have thought AF would have come by now. @Em39ma that’s awful sorry that happened to you with test. @Waterlilly118 6 weeks omg can you imagine! Benefit of this sad limbo life is I got out of bed early as wanted to test now I have got some more FRERs but still negative! Away at in-laws this weekend so if I don’t pack the other test then will force me to wait till Monday!

I have managed to get a blood one done today.
Hopefully know tomorrow or Monday.

@Em39ma have you had your results? I'm 12 days late and have same symptoms as you, my doctor refused to take my blood!

Phoned at 2, results are back, but waiting on the doctor to check them!!

I'm on day 12 and still nothing but got a feeling that my body is just playing a trick and nothing more 😭

Normal hcg, so not pregnant.
Still no AF, they just if still nothing in a couple of weeks, then make an appointment.

I’m 11 days late with 2 negative tests, did have sore boobs but that seems to have faded now. Have ordered a more expensive test and will take it next week with fingers crossed. Following this thread with interest.
