Me and my husband have being ttc#4 for 2yrs 3 months today i have been to the docs and they have finally referred me. My docs said i am showing sypmtoms of PCOS and this is maybe why i havent fallen.
I have been asking them to do this for a long time.
I am also booked in on monday for full bloods.
Does anyone know what i can expect when i get referred to a specialist.

Maybe blood test cycle day 3 and cycle day 21 to get a picture of your hormone levels and an internal ultrasound. Nothing too scary at all. Hope it comes quickly for you.

@sazzle3 Do you mind me asking if that is on the NHS? We've been TTC#2 for 2 years and I've been hounding my GP for the last year and they will only go as far as offering us a sperm analysis and day 21 bloods. They both came back normal and they won't do any further tests or refer as we already have a child.

@sazzle3 Thanks. Maybe I'll go back soon then. The last time I went, she said 'well what do you want me to do? You've had a child before, what could possibly be wrong with you?' then she proceeded to show me the guidelines for referrals and said we didn't qualify. Maybe that's just the way it is in our CCG. So frustrating!
Good luck and hope you get some answers.
