Have I just had implantation bleeding??

Hi

I stopped taking the pill in the middle of December and I know I ovulated after my first period as I got the cramping and discharge when it was due so we did try around this time.

I worked out I should have been due on around monday or tuesday but on friday evening I noticed brown blood but on saturday this turned red and was heavier but by saturday night this had gone brown again and was lighter which continued on sunday and today its pretty much gone which is when i thought i should actually be due on.

Does this sound like it could be implantation bleeding or just an early and a short lighter period?

Thanks

Could go either way - can you take a test?

It could be implantation bleeding but it's often one of those things you only know for sure with hindsight and can't tell at the time.

I had implantation bleeding, but it wasn't when period was due but a while before - doesn't implantation happen about 4/5 days after ovulation and conception? I had it and with hindsight am sure I felt it actually implant - an unusual and sharp pain which I'd never felt before, whilst driving the car - followed by short lived bleeding. At the time I thought it might be a very early miscarriage. And then when my period was due, I had v brief bleeding but very light and only for 1 day - first of all thought it was a period, but when it stopped and didn't resume I did a test a couple of days later and lo and behold....the blue line!

So I'd say that if your period is due it's probably not implantation as that would happen earlier (please correct me if I'm wrong other people) but a v light bleed like a period can still happen if you're pregnant.

Hope it relfelcts whatever you're hoping for.....and do let us know!

Thanks ChocolateWombat.

I read online that implantation bleeding can come just before your period or around the same time so because the bleeding stopped after 2 days and has been light apart from saturday when it was a bit heavier thats what made me think it wasnt my period. But then on saturday it was more red rather than brown which made me think it might not have been implantation bleeding.

I will probably wait until tomorrow to do a test and see....Fingers crossed but we have only just start trying so maybe i'm getting my hopes up too early! X
