Hi all I'm new to this and just looking for some advice. I came off the pill in August... periods were averaging on every 25 days up until November. Period came on the 8.11.18 and lasted for 4 days which had been pretty normal.... I then had another period start on the 26.11.18 and lasted for another 4 days. Since then I have had no bleeding at all and I am now in day 50 of my cycle according to the Ovia app. I've had mild cramping in my stomach and lower back on and off through out and also lots of watery discharge (sorry) I've took 4 home pregnancy test with the latest one being took on the 11.1.19 and they are all showing negative. This morning I spoke on the phone with my doctor and he doesn't seem to fussed. He's basically told me to hang on until my period arrives and then will book me in for bloods 21 days after that. I feel as though I am a failure and at my wits end as I have no idea what's going on or what my body is doing. Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it take for your period to appear. I'd really appreciate if anyone can give me some advice as I feel as though my doctor is just fobbing me off 😭

He's fobbing you off because it's not unusual. You've come off the pill less than 6 months ago and that could still be affecting your cycle. Even if it's not, it's not unusual to ovulate late or have an anovulatory cycle, which will delay your period. There are multiple threads on this exact same thing almost daily on the conception board.

And stop being daft - how on earth does a late period make you a failure??

Hi Kat,
Welcome to MN! We've moved your thread to Conception as you will get more relevant advice on that board, and we wish you all the best.
