Random spotting during OV

Hi All

So today, bang in middle of fertile window, I have stared spotting. WTF is going on? I have never had this before.

I know it isn't a symptom of pg but I'm freaking out, has anyone else had this before? What could it be?

I'm talking bright red but only 2 drops

I think you can get ovulation bleeding caused by hormonal changes. I haven't experienced it but have read about it. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

Hi yeah same thing happened to me it's never happened before. Read it might be ovulation sporting. Nothing to be concerned about

Thanks guys, it is so random! I just wasn't expecting it at all so had a mini panic haha.

When you are ttc, every new weird thing feels like a huge deal eh?

@DayManChampionOfTheSun totally agree. Body goes into hypersensitive mode and you spend half the day googling symptoms (or totally normal bodily occurrences that you hope are symptoms!) good luck on your journey. Keep us posted if this does turn out to be a sign! I'm premenstrual spotting and obviously hoping it's implantation bleeding but know in my heart of hearts it's not. 🤷‍♀️🤞

Spotting before period could be a good sign though! I lirlterally just had 2single drops of blood over the day yesturday thag was all, but made my kind go into mega drive!

AF started today bang on time :-(

@DayManChampionOfTheSun this is happening to me at the moment too. I'm on day 4 of this and think I ovulated yesterday. It's only a few drops a day, but it was bright red the first 2 days and now pink/brown. I called the GP who said it's probably ovulation bleeding and not to worry, but I'm going for a check up next week anyway. Good luck!

I also had the same issue with spotting over several days, also bright red.

I went to the GP who’s booked me in for swabs and smear test. We had only been TTC for our first for about a week and she’s told me to stop till I get the results....

Now do I do a pg test before the smear but not due for AF till 1/2nd Feb ?

Ive also spent countless hours googling what on earth could be happening!! :(
