Hi there, I am new to Mumsnet but often seek advice and support from reading similar forums.
I have been off the pill since May and trying to conceive. I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid in August and was told to stop trying until my levels were safe and correct for pregnancy. I have always suffered with terrible period pain and have had two internal examinations to be told my ovaries are healthy and that I am ovulating as I should be. I go into hospital for a Laparoscopy on Monday to remove possible Endometriosis and for HSG (Fallopian flush). I wondered if anyone else has gone through this procedure, what the recovery process was like, when you are able to have sex afterwards and of any success stories.
Thank you in advance x

I had mine in November and I was in bed for the first 2-3 days after and then started moving around the house. About a week later I could barely feel it and two weeks later the stitches came out. It wasn't bad at all. We started ttc again about 3 weeks after and it was fine. Good luck it's nothing to worry about!

How are you? I had the exact same on Tuesday. The pain was much better after a couple of days but I feel totally and utterly washed out. Going to gp tomorrow to try and get signed off.

Any news? Hope you're ok 💐

I had my laparoscopy end of November last year, was in bed for 2-3 days, but had 2 weeks off work so I could fully recover.
My period came on the 20th December, and I conceived on the 2nd January this year, although I suffered a miscarriage last week, it all happened quickly after my lap. Was able to have sex 2 weeks after lap, but there was some good news from it as my doctor said it's good that I was able to conceive so quickly after my laparoscopy..
hope everything goes well for youThanks
