TTC abbreviations

Hi,

Just started trying to conceive so I know that abbreviation is TTC.

However what is AF and BFP? Also are there any other abbreviations I should know?

Just downloaded the Flo app, so hopefully that will help.

I think bfp might mean big fat positive!

I am glad someone is with me on this! It's so confusing trying to read other people's posts while trying to decipher the abbreviations!

AF - Auntie Flo, i.e. your period

BFP - Big, fat positive - a positive pregnancy (or sometimes ovulation) test

BFN - Big, fat negative

OPK - Ovulation predictor kit (an ovulation test, essentially)

CD - Cycle day - where the first day of your period is CD1

DPO - Days past ovulation

TWW - Two week wait - i.e. the time between ovulation and your period/the time you could feasibly get a positive test

SMEP - Sperm Meets Egg Plan - a conception technique (Google it)

DTD - Doing the deed

FRER - First Response Early Result - a brand of pregnancy test
