Hi,

I've been trying to get pregnant for 2 years now. Due to have a laparoscopy and other procedures at some point but just trying to increase my chances in anyway possible. As I've only had 2 mc, unfortunately I won't get any tests into my mcs. So after some reading I've decided to start taking 1000mg a day of evening primrose oil and 75mg of aspirin a day. When I get to ovulation I'll stop the epo. I'm not a doctor but I just feel at the moment it's not going to do any harm. I'm pretty much willing to try anything to prevent another miscarriage. Anyone advised by their doctor to do either of these or have just taken it upon themselves?

If you don't mind me asking, why does aspirin help? It's my understanding that when TTC you shouldn't take ibuprofen unless absolutely necessary due to it being a blood thinner, so aspirin can't be good surely? I could be totally wrong

@ShortandSweet96 if you have had 3 or more mcs the nhs will then investigate why. If you have blood clotting disorders then small doses of asprin have been prescribed to help maintain a pregnancy. If you have a blood clotting disorder untreated then you won't be able to maintain a pregnancy. I've had 2 mcs so the nhs won't investigate until then. So I'm taking it as a precaution. I figure it can't hurt to take 75mgs a day.
