When to take progesterone?

Hi guys,

Just after a bit of advice please Smile

I have been started on cyclic progesterone as I had anovulatory irregular bleeding.

This seems to have worked a treat and I am confident I have ovulated in the last few days.

The advice was to start taking progesterone on day 15. should I still do this? Or should I start early since I have had a temp rise for three days but not very high? If you’ve been on this, what did you do?

Asking for ideas because I got my treatment via specialist referral so it’s hard to get hold of them to ask.

Thanks x

Start now. You should start when you ovulate (probably the day after you ovulate).

Thanks Kate!

Do you mean start the day after if you can reasonably predict the day beforehand?

I’ve never had a regular cycle before so wasn’t certain I’d ovulated until the temp rise lasted and the app inserted the crosshairs.

I took some progesterone this afternoon and will continue for at least two weeks... would be bloody nice to get preggers straight away tho! Grin

Thanks again for replying x
