First time trying to conceive question

DP and I started trying this cycle. I know the chances of conceiving on our first go are really slim, I'm getting my hopes up but trying to be realistic at the same time!

Before every period I always get the same symptoms: bloating, upset stomach and my mood goes a bit all over the place. I'm getting all of these. The only difference is that my nipples have been really tender when touched. I've never had this before and because it's completely new for me, it's the one thing that's got my hopes up. They've been like this for ten days in a row.

I took a clearblue test and got a BFN I know nobody on the internet can tell me if I'm pregnant... I just wondered if anybody has been sure there period is imminent because you had all your usual tell tale signs, but then got your BFP?

Try a first response test, I found them much more accurate early doors.

When is your period due?

I'm due my period tomorrow, so not long to find out one way or the other. I took the clearblue test two days ago and it said it could detect hcg up to five days before so when it came up negative I thought oh well, we'll try again next month. I've been looking up pregnancy symptoms but although I keep seeing sore boobs, I don't see sore nipples specifically. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

This is my first time trying but now we've started I just want to POAS until I see a positive. As if willing it will make it happen

I have had really sore nipples twice now. Currently, and a few months ago. A few months ago I started wearing sports bras all the time, this time I am just dealing with it. But go get measured, it can be a sign that you need a change in size of bra!

I can't believe I'm posting this! I've POAS and got this! It looks like positive to me, if you think evap line I'll cry.

The first pic on the dark wood is at 45 seconds although it appeared well before that. The second is one minute later. I think I'm pregnant What do you think?

Should I discount the second one because I left it a minute? Or would it still be valid. Sorry getting excited!!

And thanks ImMeantToBeWorking that's a good tip, I hadn't thought of that. Whatever happens I'll get measured anyway, I've never done it for embarrassment at getting my wobbly bits out in front of the person measuring but that's probably meant I've been wearing the wrong size for ages.

Eek! I've always wanted to me a mum. It would be a dream come true. Is anyone else about to give an opinion so I can start getting properly excited?

That's a positive! I fell pregnant first time too and my only symptom was sore boobs too. Congrats!!!

I'd only be around two weeks so it's really really early days. I've started looking at second hand baby clothes on ebay I told my sister which I know is probably daft at this stage but we lost our mum a couple of years ago, it's been hard and the three of us have always been so close. I just had to. I know if something happened she would be so supportive and I'll keep it to just her until after my first scan

Thanks again for being so lovely. I swayed about posting it because I didn't want come across as rubbing it in anyone's face who's having difficulties conceiving. I hope I've not upset anyone by saying it was my first time trying

The midwives are going to love me for adding to the Sept madness, with babies conceived at Christmas time.
