Hi
Losing the plot on day 9 of smiley faces and Think I need to stop and admit defeat. I track my temp too but it hasn't picked up ovulation. Shall I just forget it? Or has anyone had any success stories in a similar situation?

Help

I got loads of flashing smileys my first month (think it was like 14 or something?) and did get a static eventually. I think I might have started testing a bit too soon x

Thanks for the reply yakadee
Just not sure whether I should give up. I temp too and that's not picked up on it neither Sad
Just feel like I'm lost

I tried one month using the CB and every time I saw that flashing smiley I just wanted to stamp on the thing never ended up getting a static, waste of money I just use the one step strips from amazon now

Baba11 · 10/01/2019 23:05

I am having doubts about them
So you think I should stop testing??

MrsP4 · 11/01/2019 08:55

Yeah@Baba11 I would stop just DTD every other day to cover yourself

Baba11 · 11/01/2019 18:26

So my final day of testing before I lose the will to live and the lines are as dark as each other!

I'm not going to test anymore but wat do u guys think? Are the lines reliable dh seems to have read that the lines on the stick don't mean anything??

Where are you in your cycle and what is your usual length? I don't think the lines are definitive. Also, how often do you test a day now you have the flashing smiley?

Reason I ask - I would get flashing smiley with FMU and then one afternoon I tested again and it was static. Apparently some ladies have very quick hormone surges so you could miss it. After the static. It goes back to flashing.

seastargirl · 11/01/2019 18:31

I had this and didn't ovulate, carried on using internet cheapies and ovulated about day 42 and got pregnant from that, so would continue with temp tracking and internet cheapies if you can.

If I'd have believed the cbd I'd not have got pregnant.

Newbie21 I am on day 23 of a 32 day cycle. Am I clutching at straws??

I normally just tat in the morning but this morning the LG line seemed darker so tested again this vending(which is the pic attached) the test this evening shows the lines as dark as each other? Or is that my eyes???!?
Just don't know how reliable it is to look at the lines?

Seastargirl

Do you ovulate late? It is 42 days your normal cycle length.
Mine is 32days, do you think I should give up and say I haven't ovulated?

Newbie21 · 11/01/2019 22:32

I agree with @seastargirl You may be ovulating later or you may already have ovulated but you won't really know unless you are temping and AF does/does not show. So keep doing the BD if you have the energy!

Baba11 · 11/01/2019 22:47

Yeh true newbie21
I do temp but that didn't pick it up neither
Guess time will tell
Thanks xxx

I have pcos, so have no pattern at all. Personally I'd not give up but keep tracking just in case

Baba11 · 12/01/2019 09:27

I think for my own sanity I have to stop. We couldn't have done much more dtd every other day since cd14 so if it meant to be it will be I guess.

Thanks all and sending you all lots of baby dust xx

We stopped trying, but I just kept using the cheap opks each day, I could see the hormone rising and got a glaring positive so we quickly got to it a few times over the next couple of days. If you have irregular cycles it's worth continuing the tracking even if you don't continue actively trying in my opinion.

Good luck!

Thanks hun great advice
