False Positive Tests

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone could help. I did one of those little dip test strips first thing this morning, but I pee'd directly onto it rather than dipping it. It came back positive. Done two more tests this afternoon (ones that you are supposed to pee directly on to) and they are both negative.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you are in very early pregnancy. The test is looking for the presence of hgc. It will be more concentrated overnight as you have not weed for a long time.

You could be early on but I don’t think I’d trust it, it could be invalid if you got liquid on the test strip. You need to dip those ones. Fingers crossed for you.

I think I’m in the same boat as you, I took a test this morning and got this result not 100% if it is possitive then took two after and got two even lighter lines. Fingers crossed for you! 😊

Took another this morning and was negative! Think it was a dud test or maybe because I didn’t dip it!

How you getting on? My tests are now negative too! I’m so confused

I think I’be used the same tests as you today. I’m on CD60 but after coming off the pill and had 2 positive with these today (didn’t dip either!). Over Christmas and new year I had 3 BFNs with normal POS tests.
