Implantation Bleed or Very Early AF?!?

Hi! So, apologies in advance for TMI....

Basically AF is due in 8 days. Woke up yesterday morning and went to the loo to discover I'd bled. Not a lot, but enough for a few wipes so decided to use a tampon for the morning as was going out. This was a total surprise as absolutely no period pains nothing, totally wasn't expecting it. Especially this early.

Anyway once I had removed it I noticed there was hardly anything on it, and haven't had anything since, just a sort of light brown colour after wiping this morning but nothing obvious.

Just wondered if anyone has experienced this? My periods have been crazy the last few months so I'm not sure if this is just AF messing me about.

Sorry for the description! I know I should just wait and see but just want to know if anyone's had anything similar?

It could be implantation bleed. I had one with my last baby around a similar time. It’s too early to do a test but it won’t be long. I always go for pink tests...by far better than the blue ones in my opinion. First response do a good one or even cheapies. Best of luck. Also just before testing positive, I suddenly had a dodgy tum (which I never get) It was literally sudden out of nowhere and then gone just as quickly.
Lots of ladies also feel a little snuffly around the time they are close to finding out. Your immune system lessens a little to protect embryo I think. So if you feel like a cold coming, poss another sign x

So frustrating, I really hope it is implantation, feel almost at the point of giving up now.
Horrible having no control haha I keep thinking I'm having twinges and that it will be AF early and getting myself wound up, even though there isn't any point! time will tell, thanks for your advice xxx

You’re not alone! You’ll see that from everyone’s accounts on tww.
It is torture. Every single twinge I’d think ‘does that mean tad ah!?’
The tricky part is that many symptoms or early pregnancy can be very similar to af. Ie cramps, bloating, hormones, boobs.

Ive had exactly this last night and today! I tested early yesterday morning and got a BFP (a bit faint but definitely there). Then last night and this morning a very small amount of dark blood (sorry if tmi!) and nothing since.
Ive been having period type aches today so not sure what is going on, hoping it is implantation bleed??
Am going to leave it until tomorrow and retest. AF is due Monday

@Coffeeandcake1 argh! Fingers crossed for you!!! That sounds super positive! I've just checked and had another slight bleed but it's so light and nothing like my usual AF, I don't dare take a test just yet so just going to wait and see if it progresses. My son is 8 this year and I've had 3 m/c the past 3 years & I'm really getting to the point of giving up now, soooo draining. Let me know how you get on! Xxx

Hi lovely thought I would join the chat as in a similar position to you .. by what you have said it sounds like it could well be implantation bleeding the timing seems right so fingers crossed for you! Let us know what happens I’m due AF tomorrow had a little bit of brown discharge 3 days ago then the smallest amount after my bath yesterday lots of cramping & sore nipples really starting to get my hopes up but trying not to at the same fingers crossed eh 🤞🏻

Hows everyone going? Anyone been testing yet? Ive just retested after that bit of bleeding a couple of days ago and am sure the + is there, Im a bit wary of getting too excited too early as it is still a bit faint but Im thinking the bleed was implantation. Really hoping it was! xx

@Coffeeandcake1 omg!! That's definitely a positive, congrats!! so pleased for you! I haven't dared test yet, AF still not due for a few days and ive had a tiny bit more brown spotting, only light but started with cramps today so feel like she's gonna show her ugly face! Xxx

Looks like a positive to me lovely congratulations!! I tested positive yesterday too over the moon xx
