Positive OPK CD27

Hi everyone. Last night I had an urge to POAS but all I had was an OPK. Within 2 minutes the test line was stronger than the control. This is my 1st surge all cycle. Thing is my periods are very regular usually 30 days.
Just wondering if anyone has managed to conceive after such late ovulation?

A positive OPK at expected date of pregnancy can indicate pregnancy.

The attached photo is an OPK I did the day before my period was due. I then went out and bought a pregnancy test which came back positive.

Really? Oh my goodness that never even crossed my mind! I just assumed I was ovulating later than normal.

Do you use OPKs throughout your whole cycle or just when you are due to ovulate?

I only ask because I just saw that you said it’s the first surge you’ve had all month but could it have been you ovulated earlier than normal this cycle and you missed it because you weren’t using OPKs at that time?

I started using them around CD10 so it is possible. I was getting a line but nowhere near as dark as the control. This is my first month of using them so I wasn’t to sure what was going on!
Think I might have to get a HPT

There is a surge in hormones just before your period is due and this can give you a positive opk too. So in your situation it could be 1) you have just attempted to ovulated late, 2) you are just before your period is due, or 3) you are pregnant. 1) and 2) are much more common than 3), but since your period is due, it might be worth checking with a cheap hpt.

Yes, I’ll buy a cheapy tomorrow just to rule it out.

BFN on hpt yesterday! Still getting positive OPKs so I still have no idea what’s going on. Might get a frer tomorrow.
