Coming off cerezette TTC first baby

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my experiences so far with coming off cerezette and whether anyone else can share their experiences with it?

I’ve been on it for just over a year ( I switched from combined pill due to migraines.) Anyway my husband and I have decided it’s time to start TTC! I came off cerezette just over 3 weeks ago (last pill taken Dec 14th.) Since coming off cerezette I’ve been having awful symptoms (sore boobs, bloating, nausea and cramps) I actually thought I might have been pregnant already but I did a test and I’m not.
The past few days I’ve been experiencing really bad cramps, to the point where I’ve actually doubled over in pain, has anyone else experienced this? Still waiting for AF to arrive. Can anyone else share their experiences with TTC after coming off cerezette? I’m quite keen to get pregnant ASAP but have read quite a few threads where it seems it has taken a while. Thanks for reading, any similar experiences would be greatly appreciated x

Hi!

I came off the same pill (same reason as you as to why I was on it, migraines!) at the end of October, had a withdrawal bleed and then pretty much every pregnancy symptom you could think of before my period arrived (which was awful, especially after being on the pill for so long!!). I think it was my body re-adjusting after 10 years on the pill, as I definitely wasn't pregnant.

Worked out my fertile days after my first period, did what needed to be done and took several pregnancy tests this weekend which have turned out to be positive. We are feeling extremely lucky and of course are not getting our hopes up just yet, at least until we've spoken to doctors and had the first scan.

I came off the Cerazette on the 20th December and have exactly the same symptoms! The nausea and cramping has been awful last couple of days, so much so I thought I was pregnant too.

I've had a withdrawal bleed just waiting for the real one to hopefully start tracking!

I came of cerazette in February last year. Had a withdrawal bleed a few days later.

After a couple of weeks, I had all the symptoms you describe, along with very very light spotting. Pregnancy tests were negative.

The following month, I kept an eye on cervical mucus and I was able to identify ovulation. Got pregnant and had DS just under 4 weeks ago.

Hi OP, it took 4 months of ttc after cerazette for me. All the stories online are negative and scary. But only 4 months. Congrats stephisaur!

I came off cerazette in November 17 and conceived January 18. My DS was born in October. I had also read lots online about it taking ages for the body to work the pill out of its system before we started TTC and was fully prepared for it to take ages. I know that everyone is different, but it didn't turn out to be an issue for us.

I was on cerazette for 8 out of the 14 continuous years on the pill (microgynon before). Was worried after all the stories, came off pill end of September and conceived end of January! That was No 1

I've just come back off cerazette end of November, been waiting for my period to return, which I think is happening as we speak, ready to TTC, on folic acid too

I was on Cerazette for about 9 years. Took around 3 weeks for a withdrawal bleed. Fell pregnant after 4 months of TTC. Currently 26 weeks. There is a lot of scaremongering on the internet but I get the impression that’s the exception rather than the rule. Good luck TTC!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've not been on this for a while. So on Wednesday after just under 4 months of trying I took a test and got a positive result! We're so happy and thanks for all of your stories to reassure me as I was so worried when we first started. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much until I've seen the doctor next week but still, a BFP! We are ecstatic! xx

Hey!
I came off cerazette on 21st Feb after being on it 8 years. I had my first bleed 11th March and conceived first cycle, I'm now 5 weeks pregnant. It can take a long time but don't believe everything you read! I'm still in shock over how quickly it's all happened! I have a thread 'TTC after coming off cerazette' and there's a few ladies still waiting their first bleed! Come on over if you wish, and good luck!! Xx
