Hey, I'm new to this but I have read so many threads from others that I feel I just need a bit of advice with my current situation.
I am came off yasmin pill in August after my period ( i had been on it for 11 years) so my last period on the pill was 17th Aug to 22nd Aug as me and my husband decided we wanted to try for a baby. From then I had no period but had so many hormonal symptons it drove me crazy as I kept thinking i was pregnant but because I had no period but kept getting a negative. However, on 27th December when i went the toilet there was a spot of red blood and I couldn't believe it I was happy as I thought I finally got my period back but it was very very light and lasted around 5 days up to 31st Dec only really there when I wiped or went for a wee.. it was red and then the last day was brown. I thought could it be implementation bleeding? But since then I have done a test yesterday and today and both negative with no pregnancy symptons.. have I done it to early? Or could it just be my body getting back into it's routine?

Also, curious people that have been on the pill and come off does your cycle stay the same or does it actually change?

Thanks in advance guys!! Really appreciated xx

Hi @MrsM01, I was on Yasmin and came off it to ttc. My cycle returned straight away but was very light like yours (although the breakthrough bleeds weren't particularly heavy for me anyway). My cycle is shorter now (av 25 days) but regular.

I think the bleed you had may have been your period. I use ovia to track my cycle.

Hi @venusStarr, thank you for getting back to me. Oh really? I am using flo to track things so I'll keep it updated.. It's crazy how much it plays on your mind

@MrsM01 I might be wrong! My periods tended to be brown sludge (sorry) so started acupuncture in the summer and my flow is better now.

I completely agree that it takes over. I hope it was your period so that your cycle starts to settle.

Good luck, hope you're not waiting too long x
