Possitive to negative tests

Iv had two miscarriages last year, both days after finding out I’d start bleeding like a late period but we’re both confirmed miscarriages, I was advised to try baby asprin after the second from numerous people so while trying to convince and again finding out I’m pregnant for the third time I have continued to take them as it rules out what they investigate after a third miscarriage or so I was told and read, now we were so happy to find out yet again I’m pregnant starting the new year nicely on Thursday, two faint lines off two different tests and two different hormon levels one high and one low but with doubts after the last two pregnancies Iv done one each day since finding out two days ago, now I get up to do another and the line was barely visible on the cheap tests so rush to buy a clear blue no confusion one and now it says I’m not pregnant, i was due on Monday it’s now Saturday and no period and three noticeable positives even if faint, am I just in a waiting game to officially miscarriage now or could it still be good news. We were really relieved this time and would be so heart breaking to have another year of this. Thanks to anyone that can help. I’d never do this sort of thing but read them all the time so need answers 🙈

Well the digital tests are just not that sensitive so i wouldn't say you were definitely miscarrying. And i personally cannot stand those cheapies (internet) and never got a strong + on them even weeks after a positive.

I think only time will tell! Could you call the dr and ask for a blood test?

Or try a first response early result

Mam95 · 05/01/2019 11:07

My first positive was a clear blue cheaper one so done another clear blue early detection for a stronger line because the hormone is less so hoped for a stronger line, it was more visible but still not strong on Thursday then done a cheap one on the night for my partner to see which again was a faint positive then Friday was a faint and today was almost none existent so got the digital one which come out right and said not pregnant, I’m at the doctors Monday to let the GP no and any information from them with having two previous miscarriages but feeling like as you said it’s just gunna be a waiting game until then, I don’t think my GP do blood tests when I phoned previously to ask about them.

Yeah my dr don't tend to dp blood tests either, the two times they have in the past they have just said they were accurate and didn't tell me the numbers Shock

And i had to push for those.

As shit as it is you are just gonna have to wait it out!

If it is another early miscarriage you need to get your GP to refer you to a fertility specialist for blood tests. There is a specific blood panel for repeated miscarriage that takes 6-8 weeks to come back so you should push for that. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that though x

Mam95 · 06/01/2019 09:38

I no they’d refer me to the EPAC for bloods like previously was just hoping for someone who’s been in similar circumstances to get a better understanding. Still all feels well despite the negative so very confusing right now with no cramps of such to indicate blessings about to start as previous. Fingers crossed it turns around 🤦🏼‍♀️🤞🏻

Bleeding * not blessing

I really feel for you Mam95. It's devastating. My situation is similar to yours as I had 3 early losses last year. I had a BFP on Saturday and just feel really anxious that I am going to start bleeding again. I have been referred for recurrent miscarriage investigations but the appointment will take 8 months on the NHS. I have therefore had a consultation privately and started taking progesterone yesterday (the evidence for this is sketchy however) and will start aspirin at about 6-7 weeks if I get that far.

I find frer best for early testing. I prefer the pink dye tests. The line today is still faint but stronger than yesterday. An internet cheapie test showed a shadow only. I have a CB digital as well but I haven't used it as I'm not sure that it will be positive yet. My private Dr suggested having blood tests done to check that the levels were doubling as that would give an indication of whether the pregnancy is viable and then a scan at 6-7 weeks to confirm a heart beat. Otherwise I'll be the same as you, just waiting and hoping that things are different this time. Good luck.xxx

Thank you hopefornumber2, iv since done two tests this morning again because one failed to show the control window (I feel like a crazy woman) and they were both possitive after the first showed later than usual so I’m so confused but later today got a different brand iv never used for cheapness and lack of options, to do before going the doctors tomorrow with the wee sample I’ll be taking for peace of mind if they choose to do one so I no what to expect and my partner asked if we could do one of them together today and that’s negative in the same day (could be due to my wee being diluted at this point but I was due on the beginning of the week so surely wouldn’t matter now). Still no bleeding or period cramping so it’s so confusing l just hope tomorrow goes well. I wish you the best it’s a horrible place to be in because you just don’t feel like you can let yourself be “to” happy to be hurt again but can’t help the joy you do feel when first seeing that possitive. I wish you a healthy pregnancy and all the best and thank you for the support 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'll be keeping everything crossed for you Mam95. Let us know how you get on. Hugs.xxx

Doctor wasn’t much use for information but done a urine sample to be sent off for a lab pregnancy test to explain the faints or what not. Woke up this morning to find a little blood so it’s the beginning of the end again, now I’m assuming the constant faint positives and digital saying negative was due to the lack of hormone growth. Back at the doctors today to be referred to EPAC for the third time. Thanks for anyone’s help on this thread and hope someone else has more luck 🤞🏻
Fingers crossed for next time to have the happy ending we hoped for 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi guys. My period is irregular. I took a test yesterday and the line is very faint. I don't feel too good, don't feel like eating.

Mam95 · 08/01/2019 15:40

Do another test in a few days to confirm but a faint usually means a positive not often you get false positives even the faintest of lines 🙂
