I just had an early miscarriage I think?

I've not even had a bfp yet and I've just woken up to so much blood and clots and cramps/lower back ache...

I don't know what to think or what to do

It could be @ShortandSweet96 but the clots just make me think otherwise. I suppose I could just see it as a period. But the pain and the clots I don't know feels silly being upset over something that didn't even exist...

I had the same last year, but I didn't realise why at the time.
I hadn't had a BFP the same as you OP, I'd gone 6 days past when my period was due and I remember sitting on the train trying my hardest not to throw up. Then two days later I had an unusually heavy period with clots and I felt unwell with it.

Don't feel silly for feeling upset about it, it's only natural. Especially if you're ttc?

Not at all I know how you feel, on our first cycle ttc I thought I saw the second line on a test but I came on my period at work, luckily I was half a day and went home half an hour later. But I spent the rest of the day crying hysterically! I also noticed how painful and clotty mine was, but it think you notice more because we symptom spot like crazy when ttc!

If your worried maybe you could ask your GP?

Thank you @SausageSimon and @ShortandSweet96 we are TTC yes, but only 2nd cycle. We have a 10 month old boy and I wish I could just not even think of it as a thing I've lost and just as a potential period but it just feels a bit gutting! I'll allow myself a misery day and then just carry on as normal thinking positive...

It's completely understandable OP, it's hard enough just getting your period when ttc never mind when you think you've had an early miscarriage.

Take some time to rest and be kind to yourself

Going through this now but did get a faint bfp a couple of days ago. Now losing clots and blood :( big hugs xx

Be kind to yourself and have some creature comforts if you need to

TMI but after my first baby I've always had massive clots when having my period.

That's interesting @Hezz may just be that they've changed for me then
