I'm ovulating!!!

Hey!!

DH and I have been trying to conceive since November, BFNs first month and now yesterday and today I have had positive ovulation tests!!! Any experiences of how to help things along?? Think tonight and tomorrow night can be the night!! Thank youuu xxxx

Erm, the only way to help things along is to get to it!!

Try to listen to your body. I felt the elusive “pop” when I was trying to conceive DC2 and jumped on DP. Was pregnant that month. Also google SMEP (might want to add ttc for context), this apparently can help too.

I know it seems silly asking for 'advise' on what seems such an obvious topic and answer but broody and eager make for desperate posts 😂 we will be 'getting to it' but with such a short window of opportunity and after having the coil removed merely 2 months ago I think I was hoping for a miracle answer of 'to get pregnant right now simply do this.....' 😂😂 thanks to those who humour me 🙈 x

Does it make a difference if the woman orgasms?

I'm ovulating tomorrow I think op. We're ttc too, just started this month. I use conceive plus which is meant to help the swimmers but I think generally it's just lots of sex that's best.

Conception board is the place to find the answer.

If you've already had 2 days of positive tests but not had sex yet then you have probably missed you're window of opportunity.

Yes you're best having sex regularly through out the month but especially in the days leading up to and the day of ovulation.

There is a pregnancy/conception board, you're probably best asking there.

Thank you all, I have no idea where or how to post.. I stumbled upon the option to write this post! Thank you @kaytee87, we are also taking multivitamins designed for couples trying to conceive. Without TMI we are very active in that department so we have been at it during the fertile window, just eager after doing it in the fertile window last month and getting negative tests last month! I guess I'm going to just have to be patient and wait for a test In a couple weeks! Thanks all xx

I have never heard of this being a thing before, when around ovulation is it supposed to happen?

blablaa some women say they can feel ovulation happening, as the, what the hell is it? The Corpus Luteum? Anyway something bursts to release the egg and after a few months tracking my cycles and trying to pinpoint my ovulation, after reading this online I was looking out for any “pops” and did feel one on my right side. Immediately DTD and DS was conceived that month - however whether it actually was the egg releasing or whatever its supposed to be is a mystery!

I've only felt ovulation once, though I have ovulation pains as standard, but only the 'pop' once. I didn't get a BFP that month though.

And yes, WAY better to DTD in the few days leading up to OV than wait until it's happened as a) the egg only lasts for around 24 hours and b) sperm takes 10 hours to 'acclimatise' before it's able to penetrate the egg (capacitation). So you're at real risk of getting the timings wrong if you wait.

@nowordforfluffy that's reassuring me , we have been doing it the 5 days leading up and yesterday which I believe was my ovulation day so perhaps yesterday wasnt essential but hopefully there was plenty there ready and waiting for the egg!

It's all so exciting! I got through so many tests last month as I just don't have the self control to wait until AF is due! I need a hobbie!! X

@yepimafraidichangeditagain I read that if a woman orgasm's about a minute before the man ejaculates, your muscles contract more to hold it in?! I did feel on a couple occasions it didnt come out (TMI 😂) so easily if I have 'enjoyed myself'! X

I've been pregnant twice and have never DTD on the day of a positive OPK for one reason or another, so I got pregnant both times from doing it during my fertile week and having sperm ready and waiting!
