TTC 2 years - 1st ever BFP last night but BFN this morning :(

Hi everyone :)
We’ve been TTC for so long I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a bfp (pink and faint-ish) last night when I got back from work. I have felt extraordinary the past week, sick as a dog, ‘different’ dull stretching cramps, light headaches everyday, kidney side dull pain (but no UTI as I’ve tested) My period is 4 days late and I am 12/13 DPO.
HOWEVER I got a bfn this morning with fmu - we are so gutted and not sure what is going on. Still feeling sick and no sign of period.
I wish I could post a photo of my bfp but I am a newbie on here so doesn’t let you post photos for a month (I think!)
Any experience with anything similar to this I would love to hear? Thank you xx

Hi @Louise1523 sorry it's not going to be what you want to hear - I was in the same position as you, BFP on Christmas Day and then BFNs after... I started spotting on NYE and AF came on New Year's Day. I had so many symptoms (and still do) but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for us. Sounds like maybe it could've been a chemical pregnancy? Have you tested with the same brand? X

It was with a different test actually. I think I will test again in the morning and if it’s a bfn again then it’s probably a no go and perhaps might have been chemical yes. Currently sat eating ginger to try and stop the sickness :S

Sorry @cupcakesandglitter I’ve only just seen this. Well, I got a very heavy af the following day which has only just stopped. I think i must have caught the bfp really really early but there was no way it would have stuck sadly.

Ah sorry to hear that @Louise1523 sounds like you were in the same position as me, it's absolutely horrible 😩 I'm okay thankyou - if you're still TTC join us over on the TTC first baby threads - we're on thread 11. Lots of us who have gone through the same/similar stuff xx
