In 4th month of TTC. Period due today and hasn't come (and usually is very regular, so I'm kind of excited!) but it's 11am already... do I need to wait until tomorrow morning to do the test? Or can I do one now??

As far as I know according to the instructions in the box if you are late you can use any urine it's when you are testing 7dpo that the FMU is most important. They say try for a 4 hour hold.
FMU is strongest though and will for most people will have the highest concentration on HCG

I tested 2 weeks after I took MAP, with FMU and it was a clear positive on internet cheapies. That evening I did a FRER and got a very strong instant positive. I wasn't really due my irregular period yet.

I suppose if you don't mind possibly wasting a test go for it but maybe keep in mind it might not register a positive yet, good luck.

Rafinha · 04/01/2019 10:49

Yeah I'm not bothered about wasting the money. Think I'll go buy one and see.

I have two boys and both pregnancies took the tests at night. Hope it’s positive for you.

newyearnotsonewme · 04/01/2019 14:43

Good luck!

As it's so early and your urine would be diluted by 11am it would probably come back negative even if you're pregnant.
Best to try in a couple of days first thing in the morning to be sure.

Rubbish.
I tested just before midnight the day I was due after I got back from holiday & got an obvious BFP.

kaytee87 · 04/01/2019 16:06

@MumMumMum1 good for you. For most women first morning urine works better especially if it's not been long since conception. So my advice is hardly 'rubbish' Hmm

^ this is rubbish. Sorry @kaytee87.

FMU is recommended if your testing early, (you can get positive 4-6 days before period is due). As your already late, the test will probably work at any time of day.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 04/01/2019 16:14

I got my BFP at 5pm when I was about 3w!! Good luck (let us know!)

purplerainbows · 04/01/2019 17:00

Good luck, if you've missed a period any time of day should work. Good luck xx

Rafinha · 04/01/2019 17:09

I did it at 11 (which was about 3.5 hours after my morning pee) and got a BFP! Woohoo!!!

Thanks everyone!
