Sterilized but on day 33 of a 26/27 day cycle

So yes, I was sterilized in 2016. I've tracked my periods since I had my last baby in 2014 so I know (or thought I knew) my cycle pretty well. My cycles are around 26/27 days long but sometimes do like to surprise me and come early. Anywhere between 22-29 (29 not very often though) is how it's gone for the past four years. So here I am now, on day 33 and driving my self nuts. Just clear it up, I would loooooove to have another baby. I've been researching as much as I can about anovulation, hormone imbalances, sterilization failure rates but can't seem to get any clear cut answers and I'm not ready to have my wishful thinking snatched from me yet. Anyone had similar experiences with random late periods?

I've no experience with sterilisation but have you done a pregnancy test? Also how old are you? Cycles can get more irregular as you get older.

If you've been sterilised it's highly unlikely. Much more the case of an off cycle.

Do you know when your mother and grandmother started their menopause? It could be early menopause or it could just be an off cycle. Highly doubtful that you're pregnant.

Early peri menopause*

I do keep telling myself that it is just an off cycle too and I suppose there's a first time for everything, for my cycle to be this long and mother nature does like to remind us who's boss from time to time. I was going to test today but after reading that a "normal" cycle can go up to 35 days I guess I'll wait til Sunday.

Perhaps you could track basal body temperature to see whether you're ovulating? You are quite young for peri menopause I'd think. Must be very stressful for you - is there any option/means to reverse the sterilisation?
