Came off pill, seen no period :(

Hey, I am new to this and yesterday we finally decided to start ttc, been waiting for this day for so long haha! So I am new to eeeverything. My main concern is I came off the pill in sept/Oct and haven't seen a period since.. I have been told not to worry as it can take 6 months to come back? Just wondering if people have managed to conceive whilst waiting for Flo to reappear??! I think I will book at Drs appointment anyway for a general chat about it and advice. Any advice welcome Haha. Well you ovulate around 2 weeks before your period so yes it's possible. Worth having sex regularly anyway while you wait for your period.
But I'd see your gp in the meantime.

Took me over 8 weeks for AF to arrive after stopping the mini pill, then another 3 months before cycles were regular again. Worth getting checked. I also get strong ovulation pains, so always know when AF should arrive 2 weeks later!

If you only agreed to start TTC yesterday, how come you came off the pill in sept/oct? Did he not know you weren't taking it?

@Mummylife2018 I came off the pill a year before ttc first ds, and a few months ago to start ttc second child now. It's not unusual to want to get it out of your system before ttc. There's also nothing wrong with a women not wanting to take hormonal birth control and the man using condoms.

Thank you for your messages! I will get a Drs appointment and just keep at it then! 🤞 I have ovulation strips on the way to help :). We have been using condoms. The last pill I was put on affected my moods and as said previously I wanted to get it out of my system ready x

Ditto! Came off end of November, not even a sniffle! We're planning starting TTC March but obviously want to have at least one period before hand to know where we're at. Frustrating although not essential I know

I was off my pill for a year with no cycles and eventually got referred to a fertility clinic...it took 3 months before they managed to get my cycles back up and running. I know this isn't common but I wish I'd thought to come off the pill earlier when we knew we'd be ttc!

Took 5 months for my period to come back after stopping the pill. Some people get it back straight away!

After my withdrawal bleed, my first cycle was 101 days... I've only had 3 AF since April 2018. Everyone is different, go see your GP to rule out things if you are concerned, have bloods checked etc. and take it from there.

I'm in the same boat! Came off my mini pill end of October and no sign of anything yet! Quite annoying as want to get started! Going to book a doctor's appt for a couple of weeks time to get the ball rolling if it hasn't showed by then!

Hang in there! I came off my pill October 2017 and 1st period was 80 days later. Then I had 3 in a row under 40 days thinking I was back on track but since then they've been anywhere from 40-80 days! FINALLY the last 2 months I have had 2 cycles and first time ever my blood tests have shown ovulation occurred. So it took me over a year!
GPs won't help until it's been a year but acupuncture and reflexology were the game changers for me and I really recommend one or the other if not both!

Thoughts/knowledge. Came off pill end November, had no period, hadn't had sex for probably the same time lol had unprotected sex couple of nights ago, and tonight I've got very light bleeding.

This is likely to be 100% period right? No chance of implantation bleed so quick?

Here a year later, with no pregnancy and still no regular period! Now being put on treatment as I have PCOS 🤷‍♀️ now need to change my user name to fingers crossed 2020 😂😔

@fingerscrossed2019 I'm searching old threads as I'm three and a half cycles off the pill now and don't think I'm ovulating, despite having AF twice. How are you getting on? Wish I had known the pill can cause so many issues I would have come off ages ago! x
