Today I'm on cycle day 27.

On cycle day 21 I had a blood test to check ovulation.

Results have just come back (I can access them on my online GP site) and my progesterone was 89 nmol/L.

I've Googled and can see anything above 30 means I've ovulated, but is a higher result better? Does it mean I definitely ovulated 7 days before the test? Is 89 around the normal mark?

I took a HPT yesterday (mid morning sample) and it was a VERY bleak BFN. AF is due in 3 days.

Just because u ovulated doesn't mean u definitely conceived..
Wishing u luck though..

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I realise that.

I've been TTC for a long time, so the progesterone tests is the beginning of lots of fertility tests.

I was wondering if anyone knew about progesterone levels and whether an 89 level on day 21 was 'normal' or not.

It's higher than I've seen. But there is no downside to that. Progesterone has no negative side effects (just changing hormone levels do). It means you've definitely ovulated sometime before the test. It's not possible to say exactly when.

Thanks physics, that's good to know!
