Happy New Year!

I'm a bit confused about cycles and phases etc. Just wondered if any of you lovely ladies knew if this was normal or bad or what...

I have on average a 28 day cycle, although it has been as short as 24 days and as long as 30. I seem to ovulate on day 17/18. Is that too late really?

It doesn't give much time to fertilise and implant before AF comes.

I'm on month 8 of trying and finding it hard! Came off the pill almost a year ago and I'm 35. So thinking if it doesn't happen this month I should probably go to the doctor.

Thanks for reading x

Have you tried opk? Cheap strips off ebay work just as well as an expensive kit!

Yes, that's how I know I ovulate late. My apps both predict I ovulate earlier.

I conceived 2 dd's a year apart only dtd on day 23 of a 28 day cycle each time!!
With ttc anything is possible ime!

Sperm can live for up to 5 days so you are fertile for the five days leading up to your ovulation day and the one day after. I think this is why current advice is to dtd every other day in the week leading up ovulation (I think! I'm not TTC so don't quote me on that).

Thank you all for your replies. It's good to hear your experiences @Santaisfastasleepatlast, I was worried that it was all too late and that's why it hasn't happened yet. Thought maybe my period was starting before anything had a chance to implant.
