Got my positive OPK like 10 mins ago!! Yay!! Me and other half DTD about 1 hour ago now, he's working away from tomorrow so what are the chances of conception?

P.s it's the strongest OPK I've ever had! Never had a line that dark before so does that mean I'm in for a good chance too?!

I reckon you’ve got a good a chance as any if you’ve had sex in your fertile period which it seems you have, so good luck!! Fingers crossed for you!

Same as every cycle where you Dtd within five days before ov: approx 20-30% (unless you have known fertility issues or age related issues).

Thank you for your responses, so how does LH surge work?? So I got a strong positive last night/early this morning so is that telling me that an egg will be released in the next 12-24 hours from the positive OPK? Is that correct?

It tells you that an egg will probably be released in the next 12-72 hours (varies woman to woman and surge to surge). It's not a guarantee of ovulation.

You can't ov without an lh surge, but it's possible to surge without ovulating. If you get your period about two weeks after the surge, it's a reasonable indicator that ov has taken place. Temping and terming confirm ovulation, if you do those as well.

It can become a bit obsessive. Try to go with the flow.

Thank you @physicskate. Would you say with us only BDing once, we have a good chance? Since it was right before positive OPK!

Generally, it's recommended to Dtd every 2-3 days throughout your cycle (because again there is no guarantee you will go on to ovulate. But it only takes one.

Ttc can take a long time (took me over two years), so try to temper your expectations to avoid disappointments. Fingers crossed!
