POAS I've done it wrong haven't I

Been feeling a bit off for the last few weeks. On the pill but not had a withdrawal bleed which is unusual for me. I'm recovering from the mother of all colds but keep feeling dizzy and sick. Thought I'd better poas just to make sure. This is the result after 5 mins. I did it wrong, right? Thought they were fool-proof. Should I try another one?

Pee into some kind of container and dip the stick in rather than trying to aim at it while on the toilet, much easier!

You've flooded the test as pp said dip test into something or turn test over when weeing onto it and make sure only tip gets wet. Hope you get the result you want x

Pee into an old cup and then dip the stick in the pee, actually POAS and not flooding it is difficult! Good luck x

Haven't done a pg test for years. First time I've managed to flood one! Thanks both. I'll try again. Should I just dip the end in 2-3 secs? Only got one left. Would be delighted if positive as going to start ttc in the new year anyway.

Good luck!

Leave it a bit longer about 10seconds

Second one a definite negative. Thanks for the advice all, I now have a dedicated poas pot and this has just confirmed that we're really ready to start ttc.
