Hi,

So not actively trying for a baby but this month I felt different.

I’ve been feeling sick since 26th (feels like an eternity... but only a few days), emotional, and last night I had some cramp like feelings. Checked the second time then but negative result (with a lloyds pharmacy early testing kit) And no period... but realistically it could be as late as 31st and be within a normal range (they seem to vary from 28 to 31 days)
Still breastfeeding my first so haven’t noticed any breast changes.

Very nervous...more about what is wrong if I’m not pregnant!?
I can’t really figure out when I would have ovulated as I didn’t track anything 🙄
What do you think?
What else could it be?
I’m now nervous I’m menopausal...

Ok, sound a little bit more dramatic than I meant it to... I did say I was emotional 😄

How many days after period due date is normal to get a definitive pregnancy test result?

I'd like to know this too! I'm currently six days late and normally like clockwork but a this morning was negative. I've had no PMS symptoms at all, just a bit of nausea.

I know some people who test positive the day they miss their period and others who take a lot longer to get positive test.

I’m in the same boat. Got what looked to be 2 BFPs on 24th and 25th December. But been testing negative ever since. AF now late. Loads of pregnancy symptoms!

Well I hope you get the result you wanted 🙏
I’m still waiting for af and had very mild cramps for 4/5 days... that can’t be anything but a positive can it?
Will test again tomorrow.

Still no AF here either and got mild cramps today, and backache has got stronger 🙏🙏🙏

Late ovulation causes late periods (or a later af). This is why women track ov - to know when their period is due.

Late ovulation is totally normal and can be caused by any change in routine (think holidays).

Op - this generally isn't how menopause starts and breastfeeding is well known for messing with your menstrual cycle (ie when you ovulate because your af will always show up the same number of days later).

Physickate... ok that seems sensible. Thank you!
I have been a little worried but the more I think about it my son has been sick this month and has been wanting more breastmilk than usual. My period had returned but it makes sense that it may have been affected.

I took a test today (although not straight in the morning) and it’s negative which would suggest I’m not pregnant.

I was excited at the thought but it would have been bad timing for us.

I’m going to check one at time on 3/4 just to make sure.
