Spotting and Implantation Bleeding

Hi Ladies,
I often spend hours browsing conversations on here but haven't found many answers about my problem. I was hoping someone might be able to help a little. Myself and my husband have been ttc for nearly a year now and have been referred to a fertility clinic (we already know he has quite poor quality sperm). However, I am starting to think I might have a problem too. Every month I tend to start spotting around 6dpo and this carries on, on and off until af begins. Most of the time this is very light and mostly noticeable when I wipe. So far, doctors seem to dismiss this as I have had day 21 bloods which showed progesterone was ok. But perhaps it drops off after this too soon? We had a very early mc couple of months ago after the usual spotting so I wonder if this caused it? This month I am on day 24 of my cycle (usually have a 27-28 day cycle), 8dpo and as usual have been spotting for a few days. Yesterday the spotting was a little heavier and redder than usual and accompanied by cramps (which I did have last month too). I also passed a small clot yesterday (about the size of my little fingernail). I assume af is on its way but can't help googling implantation bleeding (as I do every month!) and also worrying that we will have another mc. Does anyone have any stories/informationadvice which might help me? Thank you in advance.

Hello

I'm not sure if this is any help but I was spotting throughout my cycle and ended up having a polyp.

It was removed as a quick op and the spotting stopped completely.

Might be worth looking into

Thank you agteacht. Were you spotting before ovulation too or just in the second half of your cycle? I have had an scan recently, do you know if a polyp would have shown up on that?

I was spotting throughout, not every day but definitely wasn't at a certain point in ovulation. So maybe different?

Mine showed up in an ultrasound so yes I think yours would too...

Sorry if alarmed you. It was harmless though but good to have removed

Don't worry, you didn't alarm me, I am looking for possible suggestions as it is getting me down now and I feel like it might be preventing us conceiving. I tend to start spotting at the exact same time each month. This month it has been more red than usual and I have more cramps too. It's very frustrating :(

Hi thought I'd add my two penny worth. I spot on and off some months and then not others, usually from around day 23 of a 30 day cycle. I think I have deduced that the months I haven't ovulated (got a blazing positive) is the month I spot. It's not scientific but I told the doctor about it, who confirmed I am ovulating (but that was a ovulation month) and told me not to worry about it. I might ask for a scan though for polyps . I also get cramping from ovulation. 2 years down the line and still no bfp. Keeping an eye for any other responses!

That's interesting Owlpatrol. This is the first month in a while (since I think my body adjusted after being on the pill) that I haven't had a solid smiley face on clearblue's digital opk. I had flashing smiley for days and eventually stopped testing and was hoping I had just missed my surge but who knows. Have you been referred at all? Definitely hoping to hear from others too, even if it's just for a bit of positivity!
