Early Pregnancy or hormonal imbalance?

Good Morning

I’ll give a little de-brief of my December.. since the 6th December..

I’ve been sick 3 times, suffered with nausea almost daily, breasts have grown, I’ve been bloated daily with mild cramps, dizzy spells and tiredness. I’m due my period on 02/01 and normally my skin breaks out between periods - this month, my skin has been more or less clear.

Other than those symptoms, I feel fine. I’ve taken two tests this week.. both coming back negative. The only sign of a ‘line’ is this scratch-like (which isn’t actually a scratch) line that is only visible in a certain light. I’m adamant that this is a negative test but will be trying again with a different brand to confirm.

My periods/PMS have been regular and reliable since I was 13.. but my average cycle length has gone all over the place since August and I’ve never had an experience like I have this month. Is it likely that this could just be a major hormonal imbalance or the possibility of an early pregnancy?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm not much help but I've had the same line on my two tests that I've done this week and I've never had it before I think it's just where the lines supposed to be but I can't help but cling on to every little bit of hope 🙈 AF due yesterday or today and no signs yet! Good luck!

@MrsP4 I was going to attach a picture of the test but can’t seem to work out how to on here Confused ..it’s driving me crazy. Every symptom points to pregnancy but I’m absolutely stumped as to what it is if it’s not that. Good luck to you also!

@mrsp4 my FRER had that line on it too

Kescilly · 29/12/2018 11:46

Have you ever been pregnant before and had symptoms to compare? I am asking because I think I’ve had more “pregnancy” symptoms with AF than when pregnant. Certainly more nausea!

MrsP4 · 29/12/2018 11:55

@SweetpeaLoui @whyhaveidonethis
This was mine on Xmas day, I've not had it before so I think it must be something to do with a certain batch of tests maybe!

Yup. Mine is like that @mrsp4 like it's scratched

I don’t think it’s scratched, it’s the line with whatever chemical that would react if hcg were present.

MrsP4 · 29/12/2018 12:09

Strange Isn't it, sadly I don't think it means anything as the one I done yesterday was no different to Xmas day 👎🏼

SweetpeaLoui · 29/12/2018 12:19

@kescilly no, it would be my first time. My PMS/AF has been set in stone for as long as I can remember.. arrives on the day it’s due with a week’s worth of symptoms (tender breasts, mood swings, an appetite and period cramps on the first day of AF). I never suffer with nausea/vomiting, 3-weeks of bloating.. even when I’m unwell. Hence my puzzlement..

I hope you have good news soon but try not to get too freaked out if it’s a BFN. My cycle was so regular before TTC and then immediately went haywire when we started trying. My first AF was something like nine days early! I think our bodies are just cruel sometimes.
