When to start tracking ovulation

Just to start with I really don't intend to come across as insensitive as I understand there are people out there that have been trying a lot longer than me but just wanted some options

So went to the dr in mid September to have implant removed and told her I was planning on TTC, so she advised to just try without tracking ovulation, no temping or ovulation tests for at least 6 months I'm currently on cycle 3 and just started TWW so I'm thinking if I don't get my BFP this month I might start ovulation tests or do you think I should follow dr advice

Do you know why she gave that advice? I'm trying for my first baby and have started tracking my fertile window and ovulation straight away as I'm totally new to it and thought that's what you were supposed to do! Although I haven't had a baby yet so I'm not the best to offer advice I'd imagine you should do what you feel is best for you! Good luck xxx

I started tracking my ovulation straight away. Using temp and the cheap ovulation sticks and the Ovia app. I didn't wait.

I wouldn't wait, seems strange advice, I had my ovulation day completely wrong until I started doing tests.

I had my implant taken out in September too. My doctor told me not to wait about and crack straight on with it. She said I would conceive quite quick with just having the implant taken out. It's nearly January and I'm still not pregnant Sad I downloaded a period and ovulation tracker and been going off that since October but still not working so I'm gunna get a few ovulation tests in and start doing that. See how hat goes. Good luck thou hunGrin

Similar to other poster, my friend was trying to get pregnant for a year (didn't track ovulation or anything really) but then when she did start tracking she realised she was ovulating 2-3 days earlier than she thought so she'd been missing it every month. She got pregnant the following month.

Not to cause concern but I had my implant removed in October 2017, tracked my AF on an app and have been TTC (having sex on fertile days, albeit not every single day) since May 2018 and still no luck 😩 think if I'm not successful this month il have to try ovulation tests. Didn't realise it would be so difficult! 😔
