Hi we are ttc our second child and I'm now 5 days late ... I have a batch of one step tests and yesterday I thought I had a faint line but I really had to squint so decided to disregard until it was clearer ... This morning I did one and it was faint but a bit clearer I think so did a second which was the same ... Plan to go get a better one today but now I'm thinking I'm imagining it .... What do you think?

I would expect to see something at 5 days late..
Go get a FRER and try again..

I can definitely see a line on both of them, but as @Bigonesmallone3 said, at 5 days late I'd expect them to be a lot darker. Get a FRER x

I think I can see a very feint line. I would put the test against a white background, any line will show up better. My test looked exactly the same as yours. I'm now 15 weeks.

Agree with PP's, there's a whisper of something there, I'd try a different test.

Yes I can definitely see a line on both but I would expect something more at 5 days late unless you ovulated later. I'd try a FRER test and see what it looks like. Maybe the tests you are using aren't very accurate?

Update ... I got a clear positive and I think I'm either 5 weeks or 9 weeks ... Last period was spotting and light bleed and this morning I've started showing so I'm leaning to 9 but will get a scan to confirm xx

So we went and I'm earlier than thought .. there was a sac but no baby yet but they didn't seem too worried as the maximum i am now is 6 weeks but probably closer to 5....

It's sent me into panic ... I'm showing loads and convinced myself i was 10 weeks so feel like I should have waited for the scan rather than put myself through torture

I'm just praying everything is ok x

Congratulations OP - it may be a little earlier on than you thought but you are still pregnant!

I know thank you .... There's nothing to panic about I know but I think I'd convinced myself I was going to go in and see heart beat and baby so feel a bit dissappointed and frustrated I didn't wait longer to go x

Don't worry, OP! From your tests it had to be an extremely early pregnancy as the lines are very faint.

They can rarely see anything before 6 weeks so you can trust everything is fine for now :)

And you're not showing yet - just bloated! It will take until 12+ weeks for bloat to become bump.
