OPK advice

Hello all. I very very sadly had a late miscarriage 10 weeks ago and we are starting to think of trying again.

My cycle has been all over the place since and I have no clue as to what’s going on... I thought I might get a period around Christmas. On Christmas Day I had some v light spotting and thought that was the start of it but nothing much since, just the odd spot.

I suddenly had a thought that it could be an ovulation bleed instead (have never had that before) so took an OPK - see pic. Test line on the left. Got positives with a couple of cheapies too.

Am trying to figure out whether I am indeed ovulating, or whether this is a very light period and the period hormones have just screwed the test results.

Has anyone ever had a positive OPK during their period?

Its not uncommon/ unheard of to have a lutenising hormone spike during af. Equally, it can be a sign of pregnancy, so it might be an idea to rule that out by taking a test.

Oh and a positive opk is no guarantee of ovulating, and it's less likely that you're ovulating on your period, but again, not impossible.

The spotting has completely stopped - overall was two days. So I am feeling hopefull it was ovulation spotting (fingers crossed).

I took another OPK today and it’s just as strong.

If so, it will be the first time I’ve ovulated since the loss ten week ago - at least (hopefully) it means things are going back to normal!
