Pregnancy after nexplanon

It’s about to expire and we would like to have baby number 2!!
Does anyone have any previous experience of ttc after nexplanon?
Does fertility return straight away, I have no periods just random spotting for the last year, so how would I date a pregnancy? What happens if you fall pregnant before your first period etc. How would dating scans be accurate with no LMP date? Just any advice in general would be great!! Thanks

Anyone? Or is this board just for those who have already conceived - is there a more suitable place to post this?

I had my nexplanon out at the end of June and got my period almost exactly a month later. It's been regular since then but no luck ttc - on our 6th cycle now. I fell pregnant with my first the first month we tried so things are taking longer, but obviously that could be for any reason. I guess if you fell pregnant before a period you'd have to have an early scan to date it? Don't know anyone that's happened to though so not sure how common it is. Fertility is meant to return quickly, however, so it's a good idea to start taking folic acid in advance. Good luck!

You are technically fertile straight away, I think most will ovulate within about 21 days.

For many periods return straight away for others it can take a couple of months. When I remove them I tell the lady to assume she’s fertile by the time she’s home, I have had a couple of ladies conceive straight away before AF showed, the drop in progesterone after removal can stimulate an ovulation, good luck x

Thanks for your replies. It’s all a bit new to me and there is a lot of conflicting info online. I guess it’s different for every women and just a case of waiting to see what happens. Would they do an early scan if they weren’t unable to confirm dates?
