Help needed don’t know what to do

Me and dh currently on cycle 3 ttc number 2 but not told family.

Yesterday was given a gift experience for present by my mum (crystal maze experience) a genuinely great present. BUT voucher valid 9 months and can’t do if pregnant.

My period is due in next few days so I’m due to do a hpt soon.

If I’m pg I’m not going to be able to book and we’ll lose out. 🙁

If I’m not pg we’ll have to stop ttc to do this. My dh works away a lot and with exception of this cycle has been away half of my fertile windows in both previous months so am concerned with delaying ttc especially as I have pcos and under active thyroid as well.

Not sure how long the delay will be as it will depend on experience availability and dh’s Schedule as to when this could be booked in.

Also appreciate that no guarantees as to how long it will take to ttc. (Ds was 1 cycle, but 4 years ago and my bmi is much higher now and also have thyroid issue not present last time, we are 32 & 33)

What would you do?

I've done Crystal Maze - you could just avoid doing the physical tasks (easy to avoid) and not tell them you're pregnant, but if course you wouldn't be protected by their insurance if anything happened.

I definitely wouldn't put off ttc just to do it though, it's fun but not THAT fun! Could you wait until you're at a better stage to tell your mum and then say it's a lovely idea, but can it be transferred to someone else this time?

Definitely don't put off trying to conceive just for this. Keep trying. If you get pregnant in the next few months then look at gifting it to someone else or even call the company to ask if they can extend it given your circumstances.

I agree with the previous posters - don't stop TTC. Although I'm sure it would be an amazing experience to do the Maze. Worth a try asking them to extend - they would hopefully be flexible given the circumstances. xx

@patrickmerricksgoshawk, @scarletglow & @flashback2009 thanks for the suggestions. Tested this morning and got a bfn. Think I’m gonna try and book this ASAP and then I’ll either be booked in before falling pg or in early stages.

I've done it- it's fun but not to the extent I would prioritise it over TTC!!
