I have been considering offering help to someone as a surrogate mother for a while now, just wondered if anyone else had done it, or had any good advice on the subject.

Hi!

I know someone who did this for her best friend. She had already had two Dds of her own and her friend had been trying for 6 years.

She gave birth to her best friends daughter 5 years ago, and is now 'aunty' to her.

They get on well, she doesnt interfear with her upbrininging as its not her child, and its all so lovely.

Its a big thing to do, and would need alot of thiknig. I think you have to be pretty tough to do it.

Can you imagine handing over the baby thats been growing inside you after 9 months to your friend? If you can, then all the best of luck and love to you.

What a wonderful person you are.

I think i could only do it if an embryo was implanted which wasn't my egg, I can see it would be hard, but it wouldn't be genetically my child, and knowing from the start would hopefully let you mentally prepare.
