Spotting before period

Hi everyone - would appreciate your thoughts on this... I always spot (usually quite light, brown discharge) for up to a week before my period properly starts. I'm worried this could be a sign that something's not quite right and could prevent implantation?

It started this month earlier than usual - around cd 22, rather than more usual cd 25-28. Hoping it's implantation bleeding?! I don't think AF is due until 1st Jan.

The timing sounds right for implantation bleeding, but it's too early to test until about a week from now.

I'm not sure about your usual bleeding patterns being a sign of anything. If it always increases to a normal flow eventually, I'm guessing it's fine. But hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along with more info :)

Heavier spotting today after none yesterday... Got the feeling now that I'm out, though AF not due until 1st Jan... I'm only on cd 25 though, and normally have a 33 day cycle. I'm pretty new to all this (ttc#1, cycle 3, 1st cycle charting) and it's doing my head in. Any words of encouragement?
